belated valentines present : hanna beth interview!

i hope you all had a nice valentines day. though i have to say i'm with all the people who say it kind of sucks. ANYWAYS, happy belated valentines day. i come with a gift for you all: an interview with Hanna Beth Merjos.

for all of you scratching your heads, you have probably seen her. she hangs around with Audrey Kitching (they even have a buzznet show together called the Holly Tauntes), she's been a model for 410 BC, Fingers Cross Photography, and if you don't know her from those, she's been in quite a few Skelanimal ads.

many could say she's 'internet' famous, but her life extends far from her 'scene queen' status and e-fame.

court vs squid: how old are you now and how old were you when you got into modeling?
Hanna Beth right now i am 19 years old and i got into modeling when i was about 16..
court vs squid: is it something you want to do for the rest of your life?
Hanna Beth: no, i don't think i want to model for the rest of my life.. eventually i will like to have my own clothing and accessory line.. and maybe write a book about my life.
court vs squid: that'd be cool. what would be the ideal name for your book?
Hanna Beth i dont really know! haha. the book would be about my life, so im sure the title would have to be about me.
court vs squid: of course! :-)your show the holly tauntes is incredibly adorable. who came up with the idea of it?
Hanna Beth well my mom came up with the title! haha. she always has the best ideas. audrey and i came up with the concept of the show though. its been really fun, i love interviewing people.
court vs squid: what can we look forward to with it?
Hanna Beth with hollytauntes? i guess just more interviews. we want to take the show out of my living room and onto the streets. asking random people for fashion tips and giving one lucky person a make over by our beauty team.
court vs squid: that would be awesome. any upcoming guests? or is that secret?
Hanna Beth everything is up in the air.. we never know who the guest is until a day or two before.. everything is so last minute!
court vs squid: it seems like you and audrey know a lot of people. how do you get all those connections?
Hanna Beth i guess you could say i grew up in the industry. my dad owns a production company, so i have met a lot of good people through him.
court vs squid: ohh, that's awesome :-) how do you feel about the term 'scene queen'?
Hanna Beth i don't really understand it. people always refer to us as that, but i think im the farthest thing from scene.. haha
court vs squid: so what's it been like modeling for Skelanimals, a line that seems to be growing larger, and seeing yourself in magazines?
Hanna Beth its been awesome. skelanimals is a great company and i have loved working with them.
court vs squid: who have been some other designers/photographers you've enjoyed working with?

Hanna Beth marc jacobs, tory burch, american apparel, betsey johnson, jet, free city, etc etc
Hanna Beth i like wearing a lot of vintage as well
court vs squid: what are some of your fashion must haves? or an accessory or something that you couldn't live without.
Hanna Beth my black hat that i got in japan. i love wearing it when i dont feel like styling my hair. i also love my tory burch leopard flats, they look good with everything.
court vs squid: any fashion tips you have?
Hanna Beth just wear what you like. you don't want to follow trends and look like everyone else.. it isn't as fun..

Hanna Beth i was in a zales commercial

Hanna Beth just be who you are. people are always going to talk, its just up to you weather you're going to let it bother you or not.
court vs squid: what's the weirdest rumor you've heard about yourself?
Hanna Beth that i smashed a wine bottle on some guys head
court vs squid: have you ever been asked for your autograph?
Hanna Beth ahaha yes.. all the time.. mostly when i go to shows.. people usually ask for a photo instead of a signature
court vs squid: what is in the near future for you?
Hanna Beth hosting a club sunday night called nuvo rouge. filming more for hollytaunts. flying to london for a week. jared gold fashion show. jessica louise fashion show. peta ad. project with mtv.
